Barca's Villa on the mend from kidney stones

Barcelona striker David Villa has been discharged from hospital a day after he was re-admitted because of continued pain from kidney stones, his club have confirmed.
The 31-year old went to hospital for the first time to have the stones removed on Monday and was released a day later, only to return on Thursday to be kept under observation.

The club confirmed in a statement on their official website on Friday that the Spain international had now left hospital.

He remains out of Saturday's La Liga game against Granada.
