Lew can forget F1 title

LEWIS HAMILTON has been told to kiss goodbye to his chances of winning the Formula One  title this season by two-time champ Mika Hakkinen.

And the Finn has tipped Hamilton’s former team McLaren for glory after being left disappointed by Mercedes’ performance during testing last week in Spain.
Hamilton crashed out at 200mph due to a rear brake failure while his team-mate Nico Rosberg was in the car when it caught fire.
And Hakkinen said: “I have a strong feeling McLaren are on top form this year.
“Mercedes were not exactly up to the speed I expected them to be, so I don’t see them competing too much this year.
”With the first test you never really get a 100 per cent picture of exactly where the performance of the car is.
”It’s a bit too early. I believe at the next test in Barcelona it is going to be more interesting to see who is at the top of the list.”
Meanwhile, three-time world champion, Niki Lauda has tipped Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel to retain his title.
He added: “Sebastian Vettel is, in my judgment at the moment, the fastest. The Red Bull car works well and looks reliable.”
